Welcome to Happy Tails

At Happy Tails Pet Salon, we know every dog and their owner have a special story and unique needs. We're all about getting to know you both and making sure those needs are met with love and care.

We build long-term relationships, providing one-on-one attention in a completely cage-free, stress-free environment. It's not just about one grooming session.  We want your pet to look forward to every visit. We are more than just a grooming service. We're your pet's home away from home.

Our Unique Approach

At Happy Tails, grooming isn't just a haircut, it's a spa day! Every pup who walks through our door is welcomed into an experience made just for them: a walk to stretch their legs, toys to spark joy, belly rubs, treats, and calm one-on-one care.

Appointments are scheduled, but patience isn't! We go at YOUR pup's pace!

🦴 One Dog at a Time - Your pup gets my full, undivided attention from start to finish

🦴 Spa-Day Experience - Walks, playtime, toys, treats, cuddles, and breaks when needed

🦴 Real-Time Updates - Sweet photo moments of your pup enjoying their spa day

🦴 Gentle & Fear-Free - Compassionate handling rooted in trust and patience

🦴 Cage-Free & Chaos-Free- A calm, safe space where your dog can truly relax

Meet Dani

Hi! I'm Dani, and I'm so glad you're here.

Dogs have been my world for as long as I can remember. Growing up, they weren't just pets, they were family. My Shih Tzu Koah is convinced he's human, and honestly? I don't argue with him! That lifelong love is what led me to become a groomer 15 years ago and inspired me to create Happy Tails Pet Salon.

I started Happy Tails because I believe grooming should be about more than just getting the job done. It should be a positive, calming experience that your dog actually looks forward to. After 15 years of grooming (11 in Indiana and 4 here in beautiful Wilmington) I've learned that the best grooms happen when you slow down, pay attention, and treat each dog like the individual they are.

The best part of my job? When dogs that used to be nervous start wagging their tails when they see me. Or when a dog finally relaxes and gives me those sweet thank-you kisses. Some of my regulars get SO excited to come that their owners can't even say my name around them without triggering the zoomies!

Whether your dog is wiggly, shy, senior, or just needs a gentle touch, I'd be honored to meet you both.
