Meet Dani
Hi! I'm Dani, and I'm so glad you're here.
Dogs have been my world for as long as I can
remember. Growing up, they weren't just pets,
they were family. My Shih Tzu Koah is convinced
he's human, and honestly? I don't argue with
him! That lifelong love is what led me to
become a groomer 15 years ago and inspired
me to create Happy Tails Pet Salon.

I started Happy Tails because I believe dog grooming should be about more than just getting the job done. It should be a positive, calming experience that your dog actually looks forward to. After 15 years of grooming (11 in Indiana and 4 here in beautiful Wilmington, NC.) I've learned that the best grooms happen when you slow down, pay attention, and treat each dog like the individual they are.

The best part of my job? When dogs that used to be nervous start wagging their tails when they see me. Or when a dog finally relaxes and gives me those sweet thank-you kisses. Some of my regulars get SO excited to come that their owners can't even say my name around them without triggering the zoomies!
